Weightless Bricks Act I: Production

A location based, mixed-reality installation for the Royal Academy of Arts.

Description:

Details:

'Weightless Bricks Act I: Production' is a location-based VR experience commissioned by the Royal Academy of Arts in London in December 2018. The installation has been exhibited as part of the Invisible Landscapes: Imagination (Act III) from February-March 2019. Experienced through a virtual-reality headset, viewers adopted the first-person perspective of a virtual architect, and were led through a series of mixed-reality spaces blended with and influenced by interactive physical objects presented in the display.  Viewers explored a hybrid work-life scenario where the creation and inhabitation of physical architecture had become fully entangled with a digital world.
